Karri Alexion-Tiernan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Karri has held various leadership roles in product marketing at different companies. Starting in 1996, they served as the IT Operations & Software Distribution Manager at CenturyLink, where they successfully managed software distribution to a large user base. In 2000, they joined Microsoft and worked as a Technical Account Manager/IT Operations Consultant, focusing on assisting customers with technical questions and developing an Operations Consulting practice. From 2004 to 2015, they held positions such as Principal Product Manager and Director of Product Marketing in different divisions of Microsoft, including System Center and Azure. During their time at Microsoft, they played a crucial role in driving the growth and success of various product lines through effective marketing strategies and team management. After leaving Microsoft, Karri joined K2 Software as the Vice President of Product Marketing, where they built a team and expanded the company's relevancy in the BPM market. Karri later worked at Skytap as the Senior Vice President of Product Marketing & Digital, leading product marketing efforts and serving as interim VP Marketing. In 2019, Karri joined Expedia Group as the Head of Global Product Marketing for Egencia, where they defined and built B2B product marketing and content strategies. Karri also mentored a global team and improved the quality of product launches. In 2021, they served as a Vice President of Portfolio Marketing at TigerConnect and a Limited Partner at GTMfund. Karri then moved on to Behavox, where they held the role of Vice President of Product Marketing, delivering insights to help enterprises protect against misconduct. Currently, Karri is serving as the Vice President of Product Marketing at Artera, where they oversee product marketing efforts.
Karri Alexion-Tiernan holds a Kellogg on Marketing Certificate from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including the Hubspot Content Marketing Certification and the Hubspot Inbound Marketing Certification from HubSpot. Karri also holds a Digital Marketing Certificate from Cornell University and an ITIL Service Manager certification from ITSM. Furthermore, they have an Integrated Marketing 360 Certificate from Cornell University.
