Aretta Baumgartner is an accomplished puppetry specialist and teaching artist with extensive experience in educational theatre and community engagement. Currently serving as a Puppetry Specialist with Teaching Artist Alliance and a Board Member for ART Station, Aretta has contributed as a guest artist for various prestigious festivals through the Educational Theatre Association. Aretta is also a special projects puppeteer with Madcap Puppets, an ensemble member and Education/Outreach Manager at Performance Gallery, and previously held the role of Education and Advocacy Director at the Center for Puppetry Arts. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the Board of Directors for Puppeteers of America and coordinating the Let It Shine Afterschool Arts Program at Covington Independent Public Schools. Aretta Baumgartner holds a B.A. in Theatre and Communication Arts from Ashland University and an M.A. in Communication Arts from the University of Cincinnati.
