Raymond Castro, MBA, CDFM, DFMCP3 has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Raymond currently holds the position of Senior Financial Analyst at ARServices, where they support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Research & Development and Special Programs. In this role, they lead the planning, programming, budgeting, and acquisition support of a multi-million dollar research and development program.
Prior to joining ARServices, Raymond worked at SAIC as a Program Analyst Principal, also supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Research & Development and Special Programs. In this capacity, they provided senior financial analysis and led the planning, programming, budgeting, and acquisition support of a multi-million dollar research and development program.
Raymond has also had an extensive career in the United States Air Force. During their time there, they held various leadership positions, such as Deputy Director of Workforce Management & Executive Services, Chief Financial Officer/Commander of the 5th Comptroller Squadron, and Chief of the Financial Operations Division at Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command. In these roles, they provided strategic guidance and leadership in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation, overseeing large teams and managing significant budgets.
Additionally, Raymond served as the Chief Comptroller for the 353d Special Operations Group, Deputy Comptroller for Headquarters 12th Air Force, Deputy Chief of the Financial Analysis Flight for the 5th Comptroller Squadron, and as a Special Assistant to the Commander. These roles further showcased their expertise in financial management and accounting.
Throughout their career, Raymond has demonstrated the ability to provide sound financial advice and leadership, shaping the future of financial workforces and effectively managing resources to support organizational goals.
Raymond Castro holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the Universidad de Puerto Rico. In addition to their educational background, they have obtained the certifications of Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) from the American Society of Military Comptrollers and the DoD Financial Management Certification Level 3 from the United States Department of Defense.
