Ziyan Hong

Senior Research Associate III at ArsenalBio

Ziyan Hong has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and research institutions. They most recently joined ArsenalBio in 2022 as a Senior Research Associate. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, Ziyan worked as a Graduate Student at Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine, where they performed RNA-Seq data analysis, conducted downstream data analysis and visualization for differential gene expression, and maintained cell culture.

From 2020 to 2021, Ziyan worked at Seer as an Assay Development Research Associate, contributing to the development of assays. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2020, they worked at HD Biosciences Inc. as an In-Vitro Immuno-Oncology Research Associate, performing multi-color flow cytometry cell phenotyping, cell culture maintenance, and assay development.

Ziyan also has experience as a Research Associate at ZYAGEN, where they performed genomic DNA/RNA/protein extraction, Western Blot and Northern Blot analysis, and immunohistochemistry. They also have research internship experience at The Scripps Research Institute and volunteer experience at China California Heart Watch.

Ziyan Hong obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from UC San Diego between 2014 and 2018. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Biostatistics at Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine, starting in 2021. In addition to their academic qualifications, Ziyan Hong has also obtained several certifications, including "Using Python to Access Web Data" from Coursera in June 2020, "Python Data Structure" from Coursera in May 2019, and "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from Coursera in August 2018.
