Sean McPhillips, MBA, CRIS, possesses extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as Vice President of Underwriting at IAT Insurance Group since May 2022. Prior roles include Senior Vice President of the Specialty Construction Market Segment at Vela Insurance Services and Senior Underwriter at AXA XL. McPhillips held senior positions at Aspen Insurance Group, overseeing U.S. Primary Casualty, and was Head of Specialty Primary Casualty at CapSpecialty. Additional experience includes leadership roles at CNA Insurance, First Mercury Emerald, Partners General Insurance Agency, Endurance U.S. Insurance Operations, and Liberty International Underwriters. McPhillips earned an MBA from LIU Post and holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Risk Management from SUNY Empire State College, alongside an Associate's degree in Psychology from Queensborough Community College.
