Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in collaborative solutions development, particularly in the educational technology sector. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has held roles as both an Electrical Engineer, focusing on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices, and as a Firmware Engineer, where firmware and diagnostic tools were created for similar technologies. Prior experience includes serving as an Electronics Contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, developing control systems for the forestry industry. Chris also contributed to academic settings as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
