Ms. McCain graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in marketing and management. She worked in management for many years in banking and retail in Salt Lake City, and later Seattle, during which time she actively volunteered in fundraising for the University of Utah’s medical care auxiliary for a new hospital chapel.
