Lorraine Clarke OBE is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Regional Director - Growth at Ark since September 2014, focused on expanding the network of schools to ensure sustainable school improvement. Previously, Lorraine held the role of Regional Director, where responsibilities included developing and supporting school leaders to enhance student outcomes. As Executive Principal, Lorraine managed Hastings Research School and multiple primary academies. Lorraine's background includes positions as Principal and Head Teacher, emphasizing a commitment to providing equitable educational choices for all children. Earlier experience includes a teaching role in the United States and a career with Sussex Police as a Detective Sergeant. Lorraine holds a PGCE in Education from the University of Brighton, a postgraduate degree in Policing Studies from the University of Sussex, and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Plymouth.
