Matilda Örtenmark Nilsson has a solid work experience history. Matilda began their career at McDonald's in 2009, where they worked as a Restaurangbiträde & Skiftledare until 2012. Matilda then joined Brothers AB as a Retail Salesworker, working there until 2016. In 2017, Matilda became a Recruiter at Ryska Posten Bemanning, where they stayed until 2020. In 2020, they joined TeamEngine as an HR & Talent Manager, a role they held until 2023. Currently, Matilda works as the People and Culture Manager at ArkivIT since March 2023.

Matilda Örtenmark Nilsson completed their education in Löneadministration at Hogia in the year 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Filosofie kandidatexamen (fil.kand.) from Stockholm University specializing in HR/personaladministration from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in "Arbetsplatsens roll för psykisk hälsa" from Arbetsmiljöforum by Metodicum in March 2023.
