Keith Brown is the Director of the Melikian Center: Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies and a Professor at the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University, a position held since August 2017. Prior to this, Brown served as a Core Fellow at the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies from August 2021 to August 2022 and held various roles at the Thomas J. Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs, including Director of Postdoctoral and Undergraduate Public Policy Programs from July 2015 to August 2017 and Director of Professional Programs from July 2014 to June 2015. Brown's academic career at Brown University spanned from 1999 to 2014, culminating in roles as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor of Research. Keith Brown earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Literae Humaniores from the University of Oxford.
