Jieun Kim is a PhD student at Arizona State University in the School of Public Affairs since August 2019. Prior experience includes roles as an Urban Planner/Designer at diiPArt Korea and a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Cornell University, where responsibilities involved scheduling, administrative tasks, and assisting professors with course logistics and data analysis. Notable contributions at Cornell include coauthoring a report on fiscal challenges for local governments in New York and facilitating focus groups with local officials. Jieun also held internships with the FAO and Istituto Nazionale di Urbanistica, focusing on research and organizational support for urban development initiatives. Previous roles encompass co-founding a project to improve water access in Tanzania, landscape and urban design at AGER group, and research assistance in eco-cultural project development. Jieun holds a Master of Regional Planning from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design.
