Marisa Tualla is an experienced mathematics educator and specialist with a strong background in K-12 instruction. Currently serving as a Math Specialist at the Arizona Department of Education since August 2022, Marisa previously worked as a Math Instructional Specialist at Washington Elementary School District, where coaching and training teachers on effective math practices were primary responsibilities. Marisa's international experience includes roles as a Mathematics Teacher at St. Dominic's International School in Portugal and as a Math and Science Teacher at Shanghai Community International School, where involvement in curriculum development and MYP certification was notable. Additionally, Marisa has extensive experience within Washington Elementary School District, focusing on advanced math and math intervention, and possesses a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona.
