Doreen Candelaria is an experienced education professional currently serving as an Education Specialist for the Arizona Department of Education since December 2014, where responsibilities include reviewing and approving Local Education Agency applications for federal funding and planning workshops. Additionally, Candelaria held the position of District EL Coordinator for Gilbert Public Schools during June to August 2019 and served as a Language Arts Teacher at Mesa Public Schools from 1997 to 2014, delivering diverse instructional methods and designing ESL curricula to address individual student needs. Candelaria holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Arizona State University and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education at Northern Arizona University.
