Governor Doug Ducey appointed Regent Cecilia Mata to an eight-year term on the Arizona Board of Regents in August of 2020. She is secretary of the board, chair of the Finance, Capital and Resources Committee, and is a member of the Audit Committee, and Academic Affairs and Educational Attainment Committee.

Regent Mata is the founder, president, and owner of AllSource Global Management, LLC, a professional services company doing business with the Department of Defense. She grew the company into a comprehensive enterprise that offered diverse products and services to a host of organizations both public and private. During this time, Regent Mata founded another company specializing in armed and unarmed security services and purchased an aerospace engineering design and manufacturing company.
