Ethan Rahn is an experienced professional in product security and engineering with a strong background in addressing cybersecurity challenges. Currently serving as the Head of Product Security at Arista Networks since September 2022, Ethan focuses on maintaining low CVEs, high code quality, and optimal uptime. Previously, Ethan founded SafeJump, a company dedicated to solving complex authorization issues in networking, although it remained in stealth mode. Having held the position of Head of Product Security at Arista Networks from August 2011 to March 2022, Ethan managed CVE monitoring and responses for the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT). Earlier roles include engineering positions at Qualcomm and implementation of IEEE standards, as well as academic involvement at the University of California, Berkeley, where Ethan earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
