Tunga Tessema is a Big Data Engineer at Arifpay, responsible for creating a high-volume data warehouse, processing transactions using SQL and Apache Spark, and building performance-optimized dashboards. With experience as an Assistant Lecturer at Addis Ababa University, Tunga taught database administration and software quality assurance courses to over 500 students, and coordinated a large-scale course across multiple campuses and departments. Additional roles include Strategy Consultant at Innovation Works, Business Consultant at grow platform (A Bosch Company), Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, Data Scientist at the African Development Bank Group, and Lead Instructor at HYPE, among others. Tunga holds a Master's of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, a Software Engineering degree from Addis Ababa University, and a high school diploma with distinction from Lycée franco-éthiopien Guebre-Mariam.
