Michael Zetterlund has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, beginning with their service as a 1st lieutenant in the Swedish Air Force in 1992. In 1996, they became the Manager of Service & Support at Pleiades AS, and then moved on to become the Managing Director and Consultant at ITC West AS in 1999. In 2000, they took on the role of Project Manager at Choice Hotels Scandinavia AS, where they developed and implemented a concept for centralizing all hotels in the group. Michael was also responsible for the technical roll-out of a new PMS with all supporting systems. In 2006, they became the Project Manager IT Development at Nordic Choice Hotels, where they managed R&D projects for hospitality related technologies. In 2008, they co-chaired the Infrastructure and Device Forum of HTNG, and in 2012 they became the Product Management Director at Swisscom Hospitality Services. Here, they were responsible for the global team of Product Managers and the strategic roadmap for these products. In 2014, they took on the roles of Chief Product Officer and Product & Marketing Director at Ariane Systems, where they were responsible for the Product Manager for Ariane's suite of advanced online, mobile & kiosk Check-In/Out solutions, as well as the Marketing of Ariane's products and services. Michael also became a Board Member at Oiiku AS in 2014.
Michael Zetterlund's education history consists of attending Caledonia High School from 1986 to 1988, Huddingegymnasiet from 1986 to 1990, Flygvapnets Officershögskola from 1991 to 1992, and Næringsakademiet Stavanger from 1995 to 1996. During their time at Næringsakademiet Stavanger, they obtained a CNE in Novell 3-4 and completed an EDB Prosjektstudium. Additionally, they have obtained four certifications from HubSpot Academy in 2021, including HubSpot CMS For Marketers, Contextual Marketing, Email Marketing, and HubSpot Marketing Software.
