Chris Maier has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Chris started their career as a Diesel Mechanic in various truck, equipment, and mining companies, specializing in engine repairs and system overhauls. In 1989, they joined the USMC Reserve as a SSgt (E6), leading a team of 40 Marines and overseeing vehicle maintenance and repairs. From 1997 to 2009, Chris worked at HEB Company Inc., where they held roles such as Lead System Specialist and Lead eLearning Systems Architect, managing and maintaining diverse technologies and platforms. Chris then moved on to Rackspace, where they served as an Exchange System Ops Admin IV and Principal Architect, responsible for the hosted Exchange environment and cloud control panel infrastructure. In 2018, Chris took on the role of Director of Site Reliability Team at Inspired eLearning, LLC., focusing on site reliability and managing the team. Currently, they are employed at Argo Group as the Director of Public Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture, overseeing the architecture and infrastructure of the public cloud.

Chris Maier earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Science (Industrial Engineering) from The University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2019, they obtained a certification on Pitching Yourself from LinkedIn.
