Lisa Simone

Lisa Simone, Ed.D., LCSW has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Lisa began their career as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Educator at Brook Hollow Rehabilitation Residential Center in 1990 and later worked as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Coordinator at Birmingham Group Health Services from 1994 to 1999. In 2000, they transitioned to the role of School Social Worker in the East Hartford School District. From 2003 to 2013, Lisa served as the Bloomfield Alternative Academy Coordinator and School Social Worker in the Bloomfield Public Schools, where they developed and coordinated programs for high school and middle school students. Lisa then joined the East Hartford School District in 2013 as a Social Emotional Learning School Facilitator, providing curriculum and support to K-5 students. Lisa has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Bay Path University since 2016 and at Central Connecticut State University since 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Principal at Area Cooperative Educational Services, which they began in 2020.

Lisa Simone, Ed.D., LCSW has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Work from Albertus Magnus College, which they obtained from 1992 to 1997. Lisa then pursued a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree at Fordham University from 1998 to 2000. Lisa continued their education at American International College, where they completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from 2008 to 2010. Lisa later earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership from American International College in 2013 to 2015. Most recently, Lisa obtained a Superintendent Certificate from Sacred Heart University in 2021 to 2022.
