Zach Nelson currently serves as the Aviation Planning Director for the Southern Region at Ardurra since May 2023 and has been an adjunct professor at the Florida Institute of Technology since August 2012, focusing on airport planning, design theory, and advanced computer applications relevant to the airport industry. Prior roles include Aviation Planning Manager at McFarland-Johnson, Inc. (May 2016 - April 2023), Sr. Aviation Planner/Project Manager at Passero Associates (January 2014 - April 2016), and Sr. Aviation Planner positions at Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc. (July 2012 - December 2013) and Atkins (March 2008 - July 2012). Early career experience includes working as an Airport Planner at Airport Development Group, Inc. (2007 - 2008) and an intern at Titusville Cocoa Airport Authority (January 2006 - April 2006). Zach Nelson holds a Master of Public Administration with an aviation concentration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (2010 - 2012) and a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology (2003 - 2007).
