Maria Eugenia Quemé Peña has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Maria Eugenia currently works as a Ruby on Rails Back end Engineer at Arcus. Prior to that, Maria worked at Microverse as a Senior Code Reviewer, where they completed over 300 reviews for students worldwide and updated review guidelines to improve the curriculum. Maria Eugenia also worked at Claro Guatemala as an Income Assurance Analyst, where they developed automated processes for revenue loss identification and reporting. Maria also has experience as a Programming Analyst at Grupo Menarini Centroamérica y el Caribe, where they developed BPM features and created automatic reporting using Eclipse BIRT. Maria Eugenia worked as a Programming Analyst at Bantrab, developing web services and supervising the bank's electronic bank and web portal. Maria's work experience also includes being a Software Developer at INCAP Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama, where they led the development team and maintained the database for the computer system. Maria Eugenia began their career as an IT Support Technician at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, managing the student database and maintaining the school's website.

Maria Eugenia Quemé Peña attended the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - BE degree in Science and Systems. In 2019, they enrolled in the Microverse Full Stack Developer program, specializing in computer programming. Maria Eugenia completed the program in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Maria Eugenia Quemé Peña has obtained various certifications and completed modules from Microverse, a coding school.
