Gerson Peltz MD, MPH has a diverse work experience spanning over several prestigious companies and institutions. Gerson currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Pharmacovigilance - Head of Safety at Arcus Biosciences since May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Vice President of Pharmacovigilance - Head of Safety at Repare Therapeutics from May 2022 to their current role. Gerson also has experience as the Vice President of Pharmacovigilance - Head of Safety at Reata Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from September 2021 to May 2022. Gerson worked as the Senior Director Oncology - Safety Risk Lead at Pfizer from April 2016 to September 2021, and as the Senior Medical Director - Head of Clinical Trial Safety at Biogen from September 2014 to March 2016. Gerson also has previous roles at Eli Lilly & Co., where they worked as a Senior Medical Advisor from January 2012 to January 2012 and as a Research Scientist - Global Health Outcomes from 2008 to 2010. Gerson began their career as an Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Brownsville from January 2001 to August 2008. Additionally, Gerson served as the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Brazilian National Cancer Institute from April 1986 to January 2001.

Gerson Peltz MD, MPH pursued their education in a chronological sequence. Gerson began their academic journey in 1978 at Fundacao Educacional Souza Marques, where they obtained their MD in Medicine in 1983. In 2004, they attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) for their MPH in Epidemiology, which they completed in 2006. Following this, in 2007, Peltz joined UNT Health Science Center for a Fellowship in Health Disparities, which they concluded in 2008.
