Jonathan Sallot has a diverse range of work experience in the cybersecurity field. Jonathan began their career as a Computer Network Operator in the US Navy, where they specialized in cyber security and executed complex network operations. After leaving the military, Jonathan joined Ankura as an intern on the Penetration Testing/CATCH Team, where they conducted network and web application penetration tests and provided in-depth reports on vulnerabilities found. Jonathan then moved on to IronNet Cybersecurity, where they worked as a Site Reliability Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Cyber Threat Hunter. In this role, they performed in-depth triage of malicious alerts, provided feedback on detection analytics, and interfaced with Fortune 500 customers. Currently, Jonathan is employed at Arctic Wolf as the Director of Technical Leads in the Security Services department. Prior to their current role, they served as a Technical Lead in the Concierge Security Services team.
Jonathan Sallot completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Networks and Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2015 to 2018. Jonathan has obtained several certifications, including GIAC Public Cloud Security (GPCS) from GIAC Certifications in September 2022, OSCP from Offensive Security in 2018, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council in July 2018, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in June 2018, GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) from SANS Institute in January 2016, GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) from SANS Institute in January 2016, and CompTIA Network+ from CompTIA in April 2015.
