Trevor Gilday

Principal VFX Artist at Archetype Entertainment

Trevor Gilday has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Trevor is currently employed as the Principal VFX Artist at Archetype Entertainment since November 2020. Prior to this, Trevor worked at Bioware for a remarkable period from 2006 to 2020, where they held various roles. Trevor began as a VFX Artist in August 2006 and later became the Lead VFX Artist in August 2008. In this position, Trevor was responsible for creating visual effects for powers, creatures, levels, and cinematics in Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. Trevor also led the visual effects team, managed schedules, and provided training to team members on the game engine and workflow. Trevor worked closely with the combat design team to develop visually captivating powers. Additionally, Trevor had a brief stint as a Freelance Artist in 2006 and 2005, where they worked on 3D modeling, texturing, and animating units and structures for ORTS, a real-time strategy game. Trevor also worked as a VFX artist at Electronic Arts during the years 2007 to 2013.

From 2000 to 2001, Trevor Gilday attended Alberta College, where they pursued a Diploma in Multimedia.
