Zinedine Zermout is an experienced professional in metallurgy and materials science, currently serving as Support Manager at ArcelorMittal since August 2018. In this role, Zinedine contributes to product development across seven plants in France, focusing on various process and product innovations. Prior to this, Zinedine held positions including Senior Researcher in Metallurgy at ArcelorMittal Global R&D Gent, where advancements in steel grades resistant to hydrogen embrittlement were achieved. Zinedine's extensive background also includes roles as a metallurgical specialist during the construction of a seamless pipe plant and as a process engineer in galvanizing lines, demonstrating a strong capability in research and development, industrial trials, and process optimization throughout a career that began in 1994. Zinedine Zermout holds a PhD in Material Sciences and Engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology.
