Jayanth Chintamani has over three decades of experience in the steel and automotive industries, currently serving as Program Director - Emerging Markets at ArcelorMittal since February 1990. In this role, Jayanth is responsible for product development and advanced characterization of steel products for the automotive sector. Previous positions at ArcelorMittal include Director of Auto Product Research and Manager/Global Technology Coordinator, focusing on product introduction and technology support for a leading Japanese auto OEM. Earlier, Jayanth worked as Automotive Platform Manager at Mittal Steel and held various engineering roles in application technology. Jayanth's career began as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ExxonMobil. Academic achievements include a PhD and Master's degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
