Imed Limam has extensive experience in economic and social development. Imed began their career as an Economist at the Arab Planning Institute in 1992 and later became the Deputy Director General in 1995. In 2005, they joined the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, where they served as an Economic Adviser before being promoted to Director of Operations in February 2023.
Imed Limam has a strong educational background in the field of Economics. Imed earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Law and Economics - Tunis, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Imed then pursued further education at the University of Southern California, completing their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from 1986 to 1988. Imed Limam continued their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics, which they accomplished from 1988 to 1992.
