Katie Parker is a freelance writer currently enhancing sports narratives for Best of Arkansas Sports and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Serving as the Sports Director and Anchor at UATV News since September 2021, Katie contributes significantly to sports coverage at the University of Arkansas. Additional roles include an internship with Sport & Story, focusing on production tasks, and volunteer mentorship in a media outreach program. Katie has held previous positions such as Sports Editor and Reporter for The Arkansas Traveler and has also assisted in Sports Television Production. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Journalism at the University of Arkansas, Katie holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and a diploma from Big Sandy High School.
