Michael Boland is a prominent figure in the augmented and virtual reality sectors, currently serving as the Founder and Chief Analyst at ARtillery Intelligence and as Editor in Chief at AR Insider since January 2017. Boland also holds the position of Senior Analyst at the Local Search Association and contributes as a Contributing Editor for Street Fight. In January 2020, Boland joined the Advisory Council for AWE, aiming to advance the integration of XR into everyday life. Boland's past roles include Advisory Board Member at NexTech AR Solutions and President of the San Francisco Chapter of the VR AR Association. From 2004 to June 2017, Boland was Chief Analyst and VP of Content at BIA/Kelsey, and earlier, a Reporter at Forbes between 2000 and 2003. Boland is a graduate of Santa Clara University.
