Tracy Owens is currently the Director at ASQ. Tracy has held this position since May of 2022. Prior to their current role, Tracy served as the Director of Continuous Improvement for PNC from April of 2018 until May of 2022. In this role, Tracy developed process improvement capabilities in Treasury Management line of business through project facilitation, customer journey mapping, user-centered design workshops, and robotic process automation.
Tracy began their career in January of 2013 as the CI Director of Operations for LexisNexis. During their time with the company, they produced an 8-figure financial impact over 5 years by improving and harmonizing internal processes and business rules, aligning tactical projects with strategic objectives, cultivating organizational project management capability, and spreading quality tools usage widely around the business. Tracy then left LexisNexis in August of 2012 to take on the role of MBA Instructor at Capital University where they taught Lean, Six Sigma, and Operations Management in the MBA program; deployed students on process improvement projects for local non-profit organizations to reinforce learning. Tracy remained in this role until July of 2019 when they transitioned to their current role as Director at ASQ.
Tracy Owens has a Master's in International Business from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior University. Tracy is also certified by General Electric in Six Sigma Master Black Belt, ASQ - World Headquarters in ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, ASQ - World Headquarters in ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ - World Headquarters in ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional - PMP.
