Allan Marchington is a seasoned professional in the life sciences and healthcare venture capital sectors, currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Life Sciences at Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) since January 2021. Simultaneously, Allan holds the position of Managing Partner at Bridge Valley Ventures, a UK-based venture capital fund focused on global life sciences investments, also established in January 2019. As a Senior Advisor and Partner at Apposite Capital since September 2005, Allan contributes to healthcare venture capital investment efforts. Additionally, Allan has served as a Non Executive Board Member for multiple companies, including Birdrock Bio and previously held similar roles at Ambrx and Convergence Pharmaceuticals. Allan's earlier experience includes positions as Entrepreneur in Residence at Abingworth Management and Interim CEO at Akubio. Allan earned a PhD in Synthetic Chemistry from the University of Liverpool, where academic pursuits were undertaken from 1984 to 1990.
