Lucas Vann (PhD) is an accomplished professional in the bioprocessing field, currently serving as Pharma CTO of APG Global Solutions Engineering and previously as Pharma Global Applications Manager at Applied Materials since May 2018. Prior to this role, Lucas managed engineering and automation at the Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center from 2016 to May 2018, overseeing biomanufacturing equipment maintenance and leading the PAT initiative. From 2008 to 2016, Lucas worked as a Senior Scientist at NC State University, where responsibilities included planning educational activities and coordinating bioprocessing lab experiences while focusing on upstream process development. Lucas holds a PhD in Bioprocessing from North Carolina State University and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from McGill University.
