Than Newell has been working in the software engineering industry since 2001. Than began their career at Liquid Entertainment as a Software Engineer in 2001. In 2012, they moved to Applied Minds as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2014, they joined Applied Invention as a Product Manager & Principal Software Engineer.

Than Newell attended Utah Valley University from 2009 to 2011, studying Computer Science.
