Daniel Steele is a seasoned cyber security professional with extensive experience in threat analysis, security infrastructure management, and incident response. Currently serving as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Applied Insight LLC since April 2017, Daniel specializes in enhancing security postures and compliance through the implementation of advanced tools such as Splunk and Palo Alto firewalls. Previously, Daniel held roles as a Senior CND/IR Analyst and Security Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, where responsibilities included incident response and vulnerability management, and as a Cyber Security Analyst with the US Navy, focusing on advanced persistent threat analysis and training operations personnel. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus and an Associate’s Degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville, alongside specialized training as a Cryptologic Technician.
