Jeffrey Chan is a Mechanical Engineer at Applied Composites since June 2018, specializing in generating FEM models for spaceflight structural assemblies and managing testing procedures. Prior experience includes an internship as a Manufacturing Engineer at GKN Aerospace, where fabrication procedures for aircraft engine components were developed. Jeffrey also led design efforts for the Vulcan-1 launch vehicle project with the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space at UCSD, overseeing the design of internal components and testing systems. Additionally, experience as a Technical Assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory involved calculating the carbon footprint of the Earth Sciences Division. Jeffrey holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science from UC San Diego.
