Sophia graduated from Quinnipiac University in the Spring of 2021 with her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, with concentrations in physician assistant studies, medicine, and womenâs studies. Throughout her collegiate education, Sophia became involved in a number of organizations while also advancing her knowledge in drug development, microbiology, and biochemistry. She was a member of the Student Government Association during her four-year tenure at Quinnipiac and served as student body president and member of the Board of Trustees from 2020-2021 where she gained valuable experience regarding business management, development, and sales. Sophia received the Phillip Troupe Achievement Prize upon graduation from the University, which is given to a graduating undergraduate student who has contributed most to the welfare of the University through the strength of character and qualities of leadership.
In addition, Sophia was the president of the womenâs club soccer team at the University and led them in their first playoff berth during their initial year of affiliation with the University. Sophia is incredibly passionate about advocacy and making a positive change, and has significant experience in healthcare, serving in a variety of roles in the field, from working as both a CNA and EMT, to interning in the Emergency Department at Yale New-Haven Hospital. Sophia looks forward to applying her experience in science, healthcare, and leadership to her role at Applied BioMath.
