Navdeep Jaitly is a Machine Learning Research Scientist at Apple since July 2021, focusing on fundamental research in Deep Learning and Machine Learning Algorithms. Prior to this role, Navdeep served as Senior Vice President and Head of Deep Learning at The D. E. Shaw Group, and worked at Google Brain as a Staff Scientist, where expertise in high-speed robotics using neural networks was developed. Additional experience includes a position as Distinguished Research Scientist at NVIDIA, focusing on reinforcement learning for robotics, and earlier as a Senior Research Scientist at Google Brain, concentrating on Deep Learning Models for sequences. Navdeep's early career includes significant research on algorithms and models for Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry data at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and as Group Leader in the Bioinformatics Department at Caprion Proteomics.
