Jake Shapiro is an experienced professional in media and podcasting, currently serving in Creator Partnerships at Apple Podcasts since September 2020. Shapiro has a longstanding association with Ashoka as a Fellow since January 2011. Previously, Shapiro co-founded and served as CEO of Podfund until its acquisition by TechNexus in September 2020, and co-founded and led RadioPublic before its acquisition by Acast. Shapiro also held significant roles at PRX as CEO and co-founder, and as a board member until September 2020. Additional experience includes co-founding Matter, working as Associate Director at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society, and producing for NPR's "The Connection" at WBUR. Shapiro's educational background includes a BA in History and Literature from Harvard University and an Owner/President Management Program degree from Harvard Business School.
