German Bauer is an experienced design professional with a robust background in user experience and interface design. Currently serving as a Human Interface Designer at Apple since September 2019, German previously held key positions including Product Design Lead and Product Design Team Manager at Oculus VR, and contributed significantly to Android user experience design at Google from 2006 to 2016. Other notable roles include senior designer at Adobe Systems and experience design lead at Motorola/Good Technology. Early career experience includes user interface design at Netscape Communications and industrial design for various companies. German holds a Master's degree in Industrial Design from The Ohio State University and a Dipl-Designer in Industrial Design from Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd.
