Albert Segura currently serves as a GPU Platform Architect at Apple, focusing on GPU architecture and performance modeling since September 2020. Prior to this position, Albert held the role of GPU Hardware Modelling Engineer at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from September 2015 to August 2020, where Albert conducted research in cognitive computing and GPU architecture as part of a PhD program. Albert's earlier experiences include a fellowship at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, contributing to the OmpSs programming model and managing ARM prototype platforms, as well as a role at UPC's robotics department developing a control device for surgical robots. Albert earned a PhD in Computer Architecture, a Master's in Innovation and Research in Informatics specializing in High Performance Computing, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, all from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
