Abhinav Golas is a Graphics Architect with extensive experience in the field of graphics technology and architecture. Currently employed at Apple since January 2023, Abhinav works within the Platform Architecture team. Prior to this, Abhinav held roles at Meta from October 2019 to January 2023, contributing as a Graphics Architect and Research Lead focused on ultra-low power graphics pipelines for AR and VR devices. Abhinav's experience also includes significant positions at Samsung, beginning as a Senior Engineer and advancing to Senior Staff Architect, where Abhinav led efforts in GPU architecture and design. Earlier roles at the University of North Carolina, AMD, and Intel involved research and development in fluid simulations and performance optimizations. Abhinav earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a dual degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
