Mark Lynch

Director at Appian

Mark Lynch is the current director at Appian. Prior to this, they were the CFO and SVP Business Affairs at MicroStrategy from September 1997 to August 2002. As a member of the Executive Committee, they had global responsibility for all corporate financings, investor relations, accounting, treasury, contracts, HR, administration, real estate and information systems functions for the company. Mark successfully led the company's IPO and secondary offering in 1998/1999.

From August 2002 to October 2008, Lynch was the CFO for a consulting firm that provided CFO consulting services to various software, government contracting, web portal, and technology companies. Mark was also the Department Chair and Business Education Teacher at Park View High School during this time, responsible for all Career and Tech Ed departmental concerns. Mark taught various business courses such as Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Business Law, Business Management, Sports Marketing, and Leadership Development.

Prior to their positions at MicroStrategy and the consulting firm, Lynch was the VP Finance at Intelidata from June 1991 to October 1996 and the CFO at World Airways from September 1996 to September 1997.

Mark Lynch has a MBA in Finance from The George Washington University School of Business and a BS in Accounting from Penn State University.
