Dean King has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Dean began their career as a High School Science and Mathematics Teacher at PUHSD from 1986 to 1989. Dean then joined the Air Combat Command as a B-1B Weapons System Officer (WSO) and served in that role for ten years from 1993 to 2003.
After their military service, Dean worked in various roles within the United States Air Force from 2003 to 2009. Dean served as the Policy and Programming Branch Chief, Chief of the EW and Cyberspace Division, and finally as the Director of Operations. During this time, they oversaw significant programs and budgets, directed testing and fielding of EW capabilities, and was the key point of contact for all Air Force EW requirements.
In 2009, Dean joined the U.S. European Command as the Chief of the Strategic Capabilities Division. In this role, they led a team responsible for strategic analysis and capability development across EUCOM. Dean also played a crucial role in integrating NATO capability targets into the shortfall analysis and funding plan.
From 2012 to 2015, Dean worked at the U.S. Department of State as the Chief of the Office of Defense Cooperation. In this capacity, they led a cross-functional team managing a $1.9 billion Foreign Military Sales (FMS) portfolio and served as a senior advisor.
In 2018, Dean joined SRC as the Director of Business Development for Europe and NATO. Dean served as the primary representative and face of the company in the region, leading business development efforts and building customer relationships. Dean held this position until August 2020.
Currently, Dean is the U.S Delegation to NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG), NIAG-ACT Community of Interest Co-Chair at NATO, a position they have held since February 2019. Dean is responsible for representing the U.S. delegation and co-chairing the NIAG-ACT Community of Interest.
In June 2021, Dean joined Apollo Security Group, Inc as the Director of International Affairs, where they lead the organization's international initiatives and oversees international affairs.
Overall, Dean King has demonstrated a strong background in leadership, strategy, and business development, with a focus on defense and security matters both domestically and internationally.
Dean King obtained their Master of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, specializing in Operations Management and Supervision.
