Syed Abdul Hai has had a long and varied career in software engineering. Syed began their career in 2008 as a Senior Software Engineer at Huawei Technologies, where they worked on ISAP (Integrated Service Application Platform) and DPI-BI (Deep Packet Inspection - Business Intelligence). In 2011, they moved to Cordys as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2014, they joined OpenText as a Staff Software Engineer. In 2018, they became a Technical Lead at Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ in Qatar. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed as a Principal Software Engineer at APIsec.

Syed Abdul Hai completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University between 2002 and 2006. Syed also holds a Secondary School Certificate from St.Marks Boys Town High School, which they obtained between 1999 and 2000. In addition, Syed Abdul Hai holds several certifications, including Learning AngularJS 2 from LinkedIn (obtained in August 2019), Insights from a Cybersecurity Professional from LinkedIn (obtained in August 2018), Learning Spring with Spring Boot from LinkedIn (obtained in May 2017), TOGAF 9 from The Open Group (obtained in January 2016), and Cordys Certified Professional - Foundation from Cordys is now OpenText (obtained in January 2013).
