Yurii Karpyshyn has a diverse work experience in the field of Quality Assurance (QA) engineering. Yurii started working as a QA Engineer at Forte Knowledge in April 2018, where they primarily served as an Enrollment Specialist. After that, they transitioned to the role of QA Engineer at Forte Group in June 2019. At Forte Group, they worked on a project for SQAD, where they performed various types of testing including Sanity, Exploratory, Regression, Smoke, UI/UX, and Functional testing. Yurii also created and maintained test cases, checklists, and other project test documentation. Yurii was involved in bug identification and tracking, comparing product functionality, and analyzing systems without requirements. Yurii's most recent work experience is as a QA Engineer at Apiko since August 2020. In this role, they have been responsible for testing web, desktop, and mobile versions of a web application in both QA and production environments. Yurii has been involved in creating and maintaining test plans, test suites, test cases, and other test documentation. Yurii has also been running automation tests using Selenium WebDriver with JavaScript and Mocha test framework, as well as using CI/CD build tool CircleCI. Yurii has been proficient in handling Git commands for version control. Along with their QA responsibilities, Yurii has been involved in data mining and validation from relational databases using SQL tools and languages. Yurii has also performed REST API manual testing using Postman. Yurii has actively participated in meetings to discuss and report bugs, fixes, improvements, and latest builds. Yurii has collaborated effectively with both onshore and local team members in carrying out project-related testing.
Yurii Karpyshyn obtained a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Ternopil Academy of National Economy, graduating in 2021. Prior to that, they completed another Master's degree in Finance, Banking, and Insurance at the same university from 2014 to 2018. In 2016, Yurii participated in an exchange semester focused on International Business at Poznan University of Economics and Business.
In terms of additional certifications, Yurii earned the following: Certified Tester, Foundation Level from ASTQB - ISTQB in the U.S. in July 2023; Automation Software Testing with Puppetter from Udemy in June 2021; Automation Testing with Selenium WebDriver + Java from Udemy in March 2020; SQL for beginners. From the very beginning to Oracle certificate from Udemy in February 2020; Fundamentals of Manual Testing from Forte Group in November 2018.
