Grigoris Papagiannis currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since March 2024, after a distinguished academic career at the same institution that began in 1980, progressing through various roles including Lecturer, Research Assistant, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. Prior to their extensive academic tenure, Grigoris Papagiannis worked as a Training Coordinator and Technical Consultant at Wincor Nixdorf from 1996 to 2001, and as a Technical Consultant at Stiebel Eltron Hellas from 1979 to 1983. Grigoris Papagiannis earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki between 1992 and 1997, and holds a Diploma in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering from the same university, completed in 1979.
