Nancy Parris, RN, BSN, PHN, RHIA, MPH, CIC, CPHQ, FAPIC, is a seasoned infection prevention and control professional with extensive experience in healthcare education and operations. Currently serving as COO and Managing Director at Infection Prevention & Control Resources, Nancy focuses on training Infection Preventionists in long-term care facilities while also playing a key role as an educator and webmaster. As an Infection Prevention Consultant with Expert Stewardship, Inc. and APIC Consulting Services, Inc., Nancy provides crucial education on COVID-19 and proper infection control practices to healthcare professionals across Southern California. Additionally, as a faculty member of the APIC Education Team since 2009, Nancy has contributed to the training of infection preventionists nationwide. Previous roles include directing the Epidemiology and Infection Prevention Department at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center and serving as an Infection Control Practitioner at Saint John's Health Center. Nancy holds a Master's in Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology and two Bachelor's degrees in Health Record Science and Nursing.
