Mark Kapsner has had a long and successful career in operations and management. Mark began their career in 1996 as Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Winland Electronics, where they led the Manufacturing Engineering Organization through a transformation to lean thinking and implementation. In 2000, they moved to Benchmark Electronics, Inc. (Pemstar) as Business Unit Director, where they directed $70M of contract manufacturing business. In 2006, they became Vice President of Operations at Soligie (Taylor Corporation Company), where they built an Engineering organization and quality system capable of providing exceptional outcomes for customers. In 2010, they took on the role of Director of Operations at Navitor Inc (Taylor Corporation Company), where they identified new technology to improve process through-put and reduce lead-time and reconfigured existing capital that was not functioning as needed into a first of its kind manufacturing platform. In 2012, they became General Manager at Flexo Impressions (Taylor Corporation Company), where they reorganized the organization to set it up for successful growth, moved the company into a new location while in full production, and set-up the backbone for a self directed work force. In 2015, they took on the role of General Manager at Precision Press, Inc. (Taylor Corporation Company), where they were responsible for leading the company through a transformation to position it for profitable growth in new markets with improved product offerings. In 2017, they took on the role of Operational Excellence at Taylor Corporation, where they worked with all Taylor Corporation companies to optimize business performance as requested by the Executive Vice Presidents. In 2019, they became Operations Director at AbelConn Electronics, a Celestica Company, where they reorganized the organization to set it up for successful growth, moved the company into a new location while in full production, and set-up the backbone for a self directed work force. Currently, they are the Vice President Operations at apg, where they are working to empower employees to assure they can perform at their highest level, to improve capacity and quality in the operation, and to improve machine utilization and assembly line through-put to avoid outside service costs and improve internal controls.
Mark Kapsner obtained a B.S. in Electronic Engineering Technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato between 1985 and 1991. Mark then went on to pursue an M.S. in Manufacturing from the same university between 1993 and 1995, with a field of study in manufacturing and business administration.
