Ruben Gielen is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering with extensive experience in Industry 4.0 projects and reliability engineering. Gielen currently holds the positions of Program Manager and Project Manager for Industry 4.0 at Aperam. Previous roles include Reliability Engineer and Project Engineer at Atlas Copco, as well as Researcher and PhD Student at KU Leuven. In academia, Gielen serves as a Visiting Professor at KU Leuven Faculty of Engineering Technology and as a Guest Lecturer in Thermodynamics at De Nayer Instituut Sint Katelijne Waver. Gielen earned a Doctor of Engineering Science (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven, following a Cum Laude degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.
