Challenging applications such as bin picking, sorting, packaging, and assembly are now open to fast, precise, and reliable automation. Apera is led by an experienced team from high-growth companies focused on robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing.

Apera AI is seeking a Business Development Manager skilled at hunting down new business within the automation industry. The successful candidate can work effectively in a remote role for a fast-growing company. You have a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals for at least 3+ years.

Ideal applicants will reside in: Monterrey, Mexico

Your role will include:

  • Develop, maintain, and expand business relationships with end users, OEMs, integrators, partners (distributors and certified systems integrators).
  • Produce qualified leads with realistic dates to close.
  •  Customer service and management of client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage accounts and expand business relationships.
  • Present to customers based on their requirements and work with the applications team to determine the best fit for the solution.

Required qualifications:

  • 3+ years of previous sales experience building relationships and expanding a client base.
  • Experience selling robotics, vision systems, complex products.
  • Experience selling to Automotive, OEM and Tier 1 manufacturing. 
  • Business level English, both spoken and written.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading a sales project within your team.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering or technical field, or a background in technical sales with a non-technical degree.
  • Experience in the manufacturing automation field.
